On Tuesday of last week, CNBC & Apple confirmed that the iPad 3 will be unveiled on March 7th 2012. - A formal invitation to select media was sent out. Apple has invited press to this event in San Francisco. It starts off at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern.
Without question, there's no vagueness regarding what this Wednesday's event is all about. "We have something you really have to see. And touch," says the invitation, as it clearly depicts an iPad with what looks like a retina display.
So the question is, What can we expect on the inside of the iPad 3?
Here's some information that's been received from different sources:
- The iPad 3 will be available in its current assortment of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities. Credible RedmondPie & 9to5Mac has received similar information.
- From pictures that have been leaked, we can be sure it will have a retina display.
- They speculate — and their sources agree — that LTE will not be
built into the iPad 3. They note that there is a limited market for LTE
as of right now, and the addition of an LTE chipset
would increase the cost of the device, which is something that doesn’t
happen with the implementation of a Qualcomm 3G chip. They do, however
feel that LTE is something to expect from the next generation of the iPad, after the iPad 3.
So, on to the design and look of the devise.
What would make us all quit our jobs and camp out at an Apple Store starting March 7th, even if its release date was two months away? This Video from aatma studio shows a concept that would definitely be a game changer!
What if this was revealed on Wednesday?
(If this were real, I'd be in a tent right now, outside an apple store writing this article)
So now onto a more realistic version of what we should expect on Wednesday.
So many leaked components floating around, it’s crazy its taken this long for an unofficial iPad to be pieced together. M.I.C. Gadget has taken on this task with the third-gen iPad, plus apparently confirming that despite speculation to the contrary there will be a physical home button. Screenshots below were taken from the video created by M.I.C. Gadget showing the basic structure of the iPad 3 and what to expect this Wednesday.
In the video, you'll notice there is no working tablet but just an assembled outer shell of what they say will be the iPad 3. As with all rumors, we can't be 100% sure. We are only days away from the official unveiling of the device; we’ll know the facts about it very soon!
iCarbons.com will be ready with a perfectly designed iCarbons Skin for the iPad 3 within 48 hours of its release date. We will start taking Pre-Orders very soon. So keep checking back and be the first to ensure that your iPad 3 will be protected as soon as possible.
iCarbons.com was contacted sometime in October of last year with the statement - "Get the PlayStation® Vita one week before the official release date with this first edition bundle. Includes PS Vita (Wi-Fi® and 3G), 4GB memory card, limited edition case and Little Deviants game." - Well that's all we needed to hear!
Four months later we were the first in line at GameStop, no wait time. Just walked in, showed our receipt (while mentioning our iCarbons Dark Wood Skin on the PS3 behind the desk) handed out a few business cards to some excited gamers, and headed back to iCarbons Inc.
During the templating process, we made a few adjustments and tests to ensure the rear multi-touch pad would work perfectly through the iCarbons skin covering it. To our excitement, it worked flawlessly without any issues or hiccups.
Then came the Big question, who wants to test this out for a while to make sure it feels natural and comfortable?
Obviously this would take some time . . .
"Sure thing Boss, I don't mind playing Uncharted Golden Abyss & Little Deviants for an hour to test it out! Its a job and someone has to do it."
Of course we had to have a little fun with it. Needed to check out the:
• Advanced cutting edge Game-play
• Amazing Graphics on this Handheld Beast
• Impressive touch sensitivity equal to the Apple iPhone 4S
• And how beautiful it looks & feels with an iCarbons Skin perfectly designed for it
After the final version was created & thoroughly tested, it was time for a photo-shoot & then added to our website. As you can see, iCarbons looks AMAZING on this device, and as a side benefit, the texture of the skin keeps the Vita from getting smudges on the back and makes it easier to glide our fingers on the rear multi-touch pad.
The Final Product Looks STUNNING!
iCarbons Template Artist is here today working on a few things that a lot of customers have been asking for. The morning began with a cup of iced coffee from Cafe Chocolat here in Titusville, Florida.Work started promptly at 9am with the unboxing of the DROID Razr. Getting a detailed rendering of this device takes some time, figuring out what should be covered and what should still be visible. Finding all the sensors, tweaking the edges so that our fingers don't accidentally pull up the skin. Everything is taken into consideration.
Testing the new iCarbons skin on the device, making some more tweaks and adjustments. By the end of the day, we have a finished product. Now the RAZR gets several wardrobe changes in a high quality photo-shoot, so that we are able to share the new design with the world. ENJOY!
