Help Cory

Posted May 30 2012

At the age of 24, Cory is in need of full knee reconstructive surgery. In February of 2012, Cory was unloading a gift for a wedding shower out of the back of a lifted truck. Due to an old injury from his active lifestyle, and not being able to afford getting it fixed previously, when coming down out of the truck he landed wrong and completely finished off his knee. We took him to the doctor and the best way he could describe it was  "Cory, it looks like a time bomb has gone off in your knee." As can be seen on his site, Cory is the kind of person that lives with determination and passion. He loves to create and loves to live. He is one of the most selfless people I know, always doing what he can to make others happy! To see him going through everyday in nothing but pain is something I don't want to see him have to live with. Help us help him get on his feet again, living life like a 24 year old should.

After being denied for several coverage options and applying for some different government based help and being denied by all of them, Cory needs something to happen.  He spoke with a close friend who just had a similar surgery done in CostaRica. After looking into this and being accepted to get the surgery done, he has gotten everything together but enough money. He needs to raise $8500 to cover the surgery and airfare to get there and back. This is where all of you come in. He is saving every penny he can but any help would go a long way.
